We hosted a unique winter wedding in the high veld for a beautiful couple. They wanted to tie the knot at their home with a different eating experience for close family and friends. The meal consisted of 8 small courses which took guests around the world to places the bridal couple visited together. The dishes were carefully constructed from timeless memories shared by them. After a lot of brainstorming and planning we created the perfect menu.
Guests kicked the celebration off in South Africa with a heart warming broccoli and blue cheese soup with a toasted garlic crostini.
We then travelled to Mozambique to indulge in traditional peri peri prawn and bay leaf skewers.
From Mozambique we time travelled all the way to England for mini pulled pork pies served with traditional gravy.
After a bumpy flight to the USA we feasted upon delicious steak and chip rolls with garlic aioli and deep fried rosemary.
We then took a safari to Botswana to relish on African venison potjiekos served on a bed of traditional samp and peas.
Another hop to the middle east and we were savouring beautifully constructed lamb koftas served with toasted pitas, home made tzatziki and hummus.
We finally ended up under the beautiful lights of the Eiffel tower in Paris, sipping on champagne whilst favouring coq au vin a la parisienne.
We safely returned back in a cold and wintery South Africa and warmed up with traditional malva pudding served with home made custard and pecan nuts,
Guests went home with warmed and contented hearts and stomachs after celebrating the love of two souls coming together.
